The Magong App, the official app for Magic Thousand Characters, enhances your engagement with the Magic Thousand Character Comics, making them more interactive and vivid.

By simply shining the app on the book and cards, you can activate 3D Chinese character magic through the AR function. From Volume 54 onwards, you can also collect cards and elevate your leader level through promotional training, which is activated by illuminating the book!

(For Volumes 1 to 53, only 3D Chinese character magic is available.)

• If the book or card isn't recognized:

  • Touch the yellow [+] button to re-scan the image if it's not recognized well.
  • Ensure the image is well-lit and front-facing.
  • Avoid areas with strong light reflections.
  • Not all pages support AR; check the guide for applicable pages.

• If images are not recognized or the app freezes:

  • Re-scan the image using the yellow [+] button.
  • The AR function may cause overheating or app overload with prolonged use. Try closing and reopening the app.

• If the app takes a long time to start:

  • Initial app launch requires time to prepare for image recognition.
  • Older smartphones may experience slower app performance.

• If writing Chinese characters is cumbersome:

  • Enable 'Skip from the second Chinese character writing' in the settings to bypass writing after the first attempt. This does not apply if multiple characters are on a page.

• If the animation video stops:

  • Videos are streamed over the internet; ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection.

• If the video recording sound is too low:

  • Increase the smartphone speaker volume during recording.

• If video recording stops automatically:

  • Recording stops after 30 seconds or when the camera view changes.

• If photos/videos are not visible in the gallery:

  • Restart your smartphone to refresh the media gallery.

• Regarding permissions during app installation:

  • Camera, microphone, and storage permissions are required for full functionality. Denying these will limit app features.

• If unable to comment on Plus Friends:

  • Commenting is a feature of KakaoTalk. Access it by opening the post in an external browser and running KakaoTalk.
