WHAT IS STENCILETTO?

Stenciletto is a collection of progressive brain exercises using basic geometric shapes. Its goal is to build and enhance visual & spatial reasoning skills. Anyone can enjoy it—all players need is the ability to recognize simple shapes and understand the concept of a stencil.

Solving the puzzles calls on a full range of critical thinking skills: visual & spatial perception, logical reasoning, planning, and problem-solving, all at once. It seems simple but offers a real mental workout. Your task is to tap geometric stencils in the right sequence to recreate the target pattern. It's much trickier than it appears and will definitely get you thinking!

The game has been developed over a decade by an experienced teacher with input from children, teens, adults, and individuals with learning differences or brain injuries. Every group has found it engaging and motivating.

In our latest release, we've introduced Education Mode. This makes the game classroom-friendly. A single purchase unlocks all relevant content, with controls for content access, internet, Game Center, and sharing. Education Mode supports Family Sharing, perfect for homeschoolers as well.

HISTORY OF THE GAME

Originally called the Stencil Design IQ Test, the game was created by early 20th-century psychologist Grace Arthur Ph.D. She understood that non-verbal skills are central to intelligence. She found it suitable for children as young as seven and for her fellow professors. Tasked with assessing the IQ of Native American and deaf children who hadn't attended regular school—and thus scored poorly on verbal tests—she used this activity to show they possessed IQs equal to educated Americans.

WHAT'S IN THE GAME?

There are two game types. Classic Games are based on Grace Arthur's original geometric stencils (squares, circles, triangles, crosses, etc.), which will look familiar. Our new World Games are extension exercises for those with strong perception and logic seeking a greater challenge.

Stenciletto features over 600 graded puzzles. Each level includes a free sample set (60 free puzzles in total).

Each paid game contains 15 puzzles. Completing a Classic Game rewards you with an animated Smiley. These are based on famous figures from history and mythology to represent diverse cultures fairly. They're also a fun way to track progress and achievements.

Different modes of play are available:-

• Mortal Mode is the default, where you buy lives or wait for them to regenerate. This mode is timed, scored, and has Mortal leaderboards.

• Immortal Mode gives you unlimited free lives—just top up your life bank as needed. It's timed, scored, and has Immortal leaderboards.

• Mindful Mode has no timer or scoring, letting you relax and take your time to solve puzzles.

• Education Mode unlocks both Immortal and Mindful Modes, so you can choose either (Mortal Mode can be disabled).
