1. Select a Trigger: The trigger initiates the macro. You can also create a shortcut on your home screen or use the customizable MacroDroid sidebar.
2. Select the Actions to Automate: MacroDroid supports over 100 actions that you typically perform manually. These include connecting to Bluetooth or WiFi, adjusting volume levels, speaking text (such as incoming notifications or the current time), starting timers, dimming the screen, and integrating with Tasker plugins, among others.
3. Optionally Configure Constraints: Constraints allow the macro to activate only under specific conditions. For instance, you can set the macro to connect to your company's WiFi only during workdays. MacroDroid provides over 50 types of constraints to refine your automation.

MacroDroid is also compatible with Tasker and Locale plugins, expanding its automation capabilities even further.
