Conan the Barbarian Gameplay Trailer Released for Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1 has been generating buzz with back-to-back video releases. Following yesterday's esports trailer that teased T-1000, fans were surprised to learn that the iconic Terminator won't be the next character to join the roster. Instead, next week will see the arrival of Conan the Barbarian, exclusively for premium edition holders. Today, the MK1 team treated us to a gameplay trailer of this legendary figure.

From the trailer, it's clear that Conan embodies the archetype of a Big-Body brute. His powerful attacks are likely to deliver significant damage, although his agility and speed seem to be lacking. This might be offset by the extended reach of his sword, adding a strategic element to his gameplay. It would be fascinating to see how Conan stacks up against other heavyweights like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander in the arena.

While Conan's appearance bears a striking resemblance to Arnold Schwarzenegger, his fatality falls a bit short of the 'wow' factor typically associated with Mortal Kombat. His finishing move involves drowning the opponent in a pool of acid, which, while gruesome, lacks the flair seen in other MK1 fatalities. However, Mortal Kombat is more than just its finishing moves, and Conan's gameplay could still offer a thrilling experience.

Premium edition owners can look forward to trying out Conan next Tuesday, while the rest of the player base will need to wait until January 28 to get their hands on this iconic character.
