Curious about Artian weapons in *Monster Hunter Wilds*? These innovative weapons are a fresh addition to the game, offering players the ability to craft highly customizable weapons with the stats and elements of their choice. However, unlocking this feature is a late-game endeavor, so let’s delve into everything you need to know about Artian weapons.

How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

To begin your journey with Artian weapons, you first need to unlock this feature. This involves completing the story to unlock High Rank, and then progressing further until you defeat your first Tempered monster. We won’t spoil which monster it is, but you’ll recognize it when the NPCs comment on its toughness and scars.

After defeating this formidable foe, Gemma will initiate a conversation about Artian weapons, which triggers a tutorial on the subject. You’ll discover that Gemma can now craft these unique weapons. Each weapon type requires three components, and you must have at least one of each component to craft a weapon. However, the process is more intricate than it seems.

Each component has a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. Components must share the same rarity value to be compatible, and the elemental effect of your weapon is determined by the dominant element among your components. For instance, using two water and one lightning component results in a water weapon. Using three water components will enhance the water infusion, but using three different elements will yield a weapon without any elemental infusion.

The Artian bonus offers either an attack boost or an affinity boost. Attack increases the overall damage your weapon can deal, while affinity enhances your critical hit chance. The choice between these bonuses depends on your preferred playstyle. To craft these weapons, you’ll need to gather Artian materials.

How to Get Artian Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds

Obtaining Artian materials is straightforward; you just need to hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. After defeating your first Tempered monster, one or two of these will typically roam any given area. You’ll receive notifications when they’re nearby, and they’re easily recognizable on the map with their blue outlines.

Defeating or capturing a Tempered monster will yield a few Artian parts, which you can find among your main mission rewards and decorations. As your hunter rank increases, the rarity of these parts will also increase, naturally progressing alongside your gameplay. While there isn’t a direct correlation between the monster you hunt and the types of Artian drops it provides, you can focus on hunting the monsters you enjoy fighting or those whose parts you need for other weapons or armor pieces.
