Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero eyed for Nintendo Switch 2, hints Saudi Ratings Board
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, hinting at its arrival on the new console despite the absence of an official announcement. While we're still awaiting confirmation that this game, inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, will be available on Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, first noted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise.
"Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," the tweet stated before being removed. This message also confirmed that the game has secured a 12+ rating.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, offering an "incredible number" of playable characters, each with their unique abilities, transformations, and techniques.
In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we rated it 7/10, noting, "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."
Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders opened on April 24, with the price set at $449.99 — and they sold out almost immediately. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered a Switch 2 from the My Nintendo Store, indicating that release date delivery might not be guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
