Dynasty Warriors: Origins Faction Guide
In *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, you'll carve a path through ancient China, battling alongside various warlords. But eventually, a crucial decision awaits: choosing your allegiance. This guide explains how to navigate the faction selection process.
Understanding Factions in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*
The game unfolds in chapters. The first two chapters feature the Wanderer, your character, acting independently. You'll assist Sun Jian, Cao Cao, and Liu Bei, participating in key events like the Yellow Turban Rebellion and the Battle of Hulao Gate. However, Chapter 3 presents a turning point: you must choose a faction.
Before making your choice, the game provides opportunities to get acquainted with each faction. Complete a specific number of missions for each warlord: three for Sun Jian, two for Liu Bei, and one for Cao Cao. Completing these unlocks a mission forcing you to choose an alliance. Only factions with completed missions will be selectable. You can, of course, complete missions for all factions before committing.

Your decision is permanent. Once you choose a faction, the others become unavailable. You can no longer accept sidequests from their officers, limiting your bond and potential skill point gains. Faction choice impacts difficulty; for instance, allying with Liu Bei initially offers fewer commanding officers for sidequests.
To experience all *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* offers, create a save file *before* selecting a faction. This allows you to replay the game with different allegiances.
Now you know how to choose your faction in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, available now on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
