But what truly completes the MMORPG experience is the ability to ride a mount, and *Rune Slayer* offers just that. Although the game doesn't explicitly guide you on how to obtain a mount, we're here to walk you through the process step-by-step.

Before you start dreaming of speeding across the world of Rune Slayer, make sure you have the following prerequisites:

• Reach level 20: This milestone is easily achievable within a few hours, roughly 5 to 6. Engage in Quests, Jobs, and mob-killing, and you'll hit level 20 in no time.
• Tame a pet: You'll receive a quest that guides you through the taming process, which involves:
  • Finding an animal you want to tame (such as Deer, Wolf, or Spider).
  • Attacking it once.
  • Holding a food item the animal enjoys (Apples for Deer, Raw Deer Meat for Wolves).
  • Watching for a heart to appear above the animal's head, indicating the taming attempt.
  • If the heart grows fully, the animal becomes your pet. If it turns black, the attempt fails, but don't worry—just try with another animal.

Once you've secured your pet and reached level 20, you're ready to proceed to the next step.

Finish the Mount Quest

Upon reaching level 20, visit Jimmy the Stable Master in Wayshire. He'll offer you the "Jimmy's Delivery" quest, requiring you to deliver a package to the Stable Master in Ashenshire. Accept the quest and head north through Wayshire's northern entrance. Follow the road and ascend the hill leading into Greatwood Forest. Be cautious here, as the mobs can be challenging. Continue north until you reach Ashenshire, recognizable by the huge houses perched on large trees.

Locate a rope to ascend and interact with it to climb up. The first NPC you encounter at the top will be Madonna the Stable Master. There won't be a quest marker above her, so simply talk to her and select "I have a package for you." She'll accept the package. To complete the quest, return to Wayshire by backtracking south from Ashenshire.

Upon your return, speak with Jimmy the Stable Master (marked by an exclamation point above his head) to receive your reward: A Saddle. Note that the Saddle won't appear in your inventory to prevent accidental loss or sale.

How to mount your pet in Rune Slayer

After obtaining the saddle, summon your pet by holding "T". Approach your pet, and you'll see the "Mount" option. Press "E" to mount your pet. This method works for all mountable pets in the game.
