The popular co-op action adventure game, Split Fiction, is set to make the leap to the big screen, as reported by Variety. The news comes amid a flurry of interest from "multiple top Hollywood studios" vying for the movie rights. Story Kitchen, the media company behind successful adaptations such as the Sonic the Hedgehog films and Netflix's Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, is assembling a package that includes the project's writers, director, and cast. This team previously handled the upcoming film adaptation of Hazelight Studios' It Takes Two, ensuring a seasoned approach to bringing Split Fiction to life on screen. Currently, no further details about the film have been disclosed.

Adding to the excitement, Split Fiction achieved remarkable sales, with over two million copies sold in its first week of release. IGN's review praised the game as an "unmissable co-op adventure," highlighting its ability to remain "fabulously fresh for its full, 14-hour duration."

In other news from Hazelight Studios, director Josef Fares recently announced that the studio is already hard at work on their next game, signaling a bright future for fans of their innovative storytelling and gameplay.
