Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: End the Feud - Battle of Frogs & Mice Quest Guide
To resolve the ongoing feud between Prochek and Olbram in the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, follow these detailed steps for a peaceful resolution:
How to Start Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
The "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest becomes available after completing either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Once you've completed one of these quests, you can initiate the next quest by speaking with Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov. After starting the quest, proceed to the designated pasture to begin.
Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?
In this quest, Henry must decide whether to side with Prochek or Olbram. However, there's an option to end the feud entirely, which will be detailed below. To side with Prochek, talk to him in Tachov and choose the dialogue option, "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" To side with Olbram, speak with him in Zhelejov and select, "Let's go and see those Tachovites!"
During the negotiations at the pasture, avoid trying to reconcile them directly, as this will only escalate the situation. Instead, if you successfully pass the dialogue check, an enemy will flee, making the subsequent fight easier. Winning the fight for either side grants you groschen.
How to Stop the Feud
For a peaceful resolution, before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram if they wish to end the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz and speak with Baliff Thrush, selecting the dialogue option, "You'd finally have some peace." Passing the subsequent dialogue check allows you to access the scribe's room and read the Troskowitz Chronicle. If you fail to persuade the Baliff, you can sneak into the room, but remember to save your game first.
Once in the scribe's room, speak with the scribe and choose the option, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."
Next, go to the pasture and find three oak trees aligned together. Inspect the middle tree to discover a nail. You can:
- Leave the nail in the middle tree to split the pasture equally between Tachov and Zhelejov.
- Move the nail to the west tree to allocate more land to Tachov.
- Move the nail to the east tree to allocate more land to Zhelejov.
The decision on where to place the nail is yours, based on your preference or neutrality. After deciding, speak with Baliff Thrush again, who will agree to end the feud. Then, invite Prochek or Olbram to the pasture to finalize the resolution.
After resolving the feud, speak with Baliff Thrush to receive the "Master Studies I" book.
By following these steps, you'll successfully stop the feud during the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more tips and information on the game, continue to explore resources like The Escapist.
