After a long period of silence, Goichi "Suda51" Suda's Grasshopper Manufacture stormed back into the spotlight during last night's State of Play with a brutally intense trailer for their upcoming "ultra-violent" sci-fi adventure, Romeo Is a Dead Man.

The game's excessive violence is so central to its identity that GhM explicitly calls it the "defining feature," offering players an arsenal of weapons to "create spectacular bloodbaths while experiencing unprecedented levels of hyper-stimulating carnage."

"Our team is currently operating at maximum capacity to complete development. In our earlier days, this would be when staff started bringing sleeping bags for all-nighters, but now we prioritize proper rest," Suda51 explained.

"I'll always remember our wild early years of frantic late-night crunch - once even receiving overtime warning emails (true story). Final development phases feel like the night before a school festival in Beautiful Dreamer. Speaking of which... younger fans may need to stream this classic."

Romeo Is a Dead Man is Grasshopper Manufacture's new "ultra-violent sci-fi" action game starring FBI Space-Time agent Romeo Stargazer (an incredible protagonist name) tracking intergalactic fugitives. Coming to PC (Steam/Microsoft), PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, though not until 2026. Why such a vague window?

"Isn't it obvious?" Suda quipped, almost certainly referencing GTA 6. "That Blockbuster Game announced its date - everyone's avoiding it. Though imagine the boldness of launching same-day... terrifying thought! Anyway, see you next time."
