"Torchlight: Infinite Season 8: Sandlord Launches This Month"

Torchlight: Infinite has unveiled the details for its upcoming Season 8: Sandlord, set to launch on April 17th. This season promises a significant transformation with the introduction of the Cloud Oasis, new economic gameplay mechanics, and a complete overhaul of the Deep Space area. The Sandlord season is poised to revolutionize the action RPG experience with floating cities, economic management, and enticing real-world prizes.

In Season 8, players will venture beyond merely battling monsters; they will construct their own aerial empire. The innovative Sandlord mechanic features the Cloud Oasis, a hub for trading resources, managing workers, and overseeing production lines to fortify your sky-based stronghold.

Thea makes a comeback this season with a revamped trait called Blasphemer. This new trait replaces her divine powers with a curse named Desecration, which, though initially weak, scales powerfully. Desecration increases Erosion damage inversely to her remaining blessing power. Players can enhance this trait to unlock area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, making it ideal for enthusiasts of damage-over-time and synergy-rich builds.

Endgame content in Torchlight: Infinite is also receiving substantial upgrades. The Deep Space zone has been revamped with five new stages, expansive maps, and more formidable enemies. Players can now adjust the risk and reward dynamics using the new Probes system, which escalates the challenge level but offers the potential for superior loot, including Compass chests through the Compass Probe.

The update introduces a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, thereby offering deeper build customization. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to the Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.

Coinciding with the season launch, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Participants can complete tasks to earn Gold Rush Attempts and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
