Xbox Game Pass May 2025 Wave 1: Lineup Revealed
Microsoft has officially unveiled the exciting lineup for Wave 1 of Xbox Game Pass in May 2025, as detailed in a recent Xbox Wire post. This first wave, which runs through May 20, introduces a total of 12 games to the subscription service, featuring a mix of new releases and fan-favorite titles.
Leading the charge is Doom: The Dark Ages, the latest installment in id Software's iconic first-person shooter franchise. As a Microsoft-owned title, it will be available on Game Pass from day one on May 15. The game promises to delve into the Doom Slayer's origins, offering a dark medieval backdrop for the epic battle against Hell.
Starting today, May 6, subscribers can dive into Dredge, available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. This single-player fishing adventure explores a mysterious archipelago and uncovers sinister secrets lurking beneath the surface. Dredge is accessible through Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard.
On May 7, the service sees a surge of new titles. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, allowing players to immerse themselves in the Dragon Ball universe. Dungeons of Hinterberg (Console) and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (Xbox Series X|S) are now part of Game Pass Standard, while Metal Slug Tactics (Console) also makes its debut on the same platform.
May 8 marks the launch of Revenge of the Savage Planet (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a day-one title for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This game follows the adventures of a redundant employee seeking revenge on their former employer amidst a backdrop of corporate greed. Joining it on the same day is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed (Cloud, Console, and PC), available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, promising an action-packed adventure with the iconic Turtle brothers.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (Cloud and Console) returns to the Game Pass library on May 13, available on Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard. This cooperative game set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world offers intense first-person combat and an expanded roster of enemies and career paths.
The highly anticipated Doom: The Dark Ages arrives on May 15, offering players a chance to step into the Doom Slayer's boots in a gripping prequel to the modern Doom series.
