Palace

Palace, also known as Shed, Karma, or "OG," is a classic card game that was a staple in my high school's study hall and cafeteria back in the 90s. It's not just a school favorite; it's also popular among backpackers, spreading its charm far and wide.

In response to user feedback, we've introduced exciting new features in the latest updates, including the option to pick up from the pile at any time and the rule where a 7 forces players to play a lower card. Additionally, you can now challenge your friends in live matches, making the game even more engaging.

You can play against eight distinct computer characters, each boasting a unique playing style, or test your skills against your friends in real-time.

Basic Rules:

At the start of the game, each player receives three 'face down cards,' which remain a mystery until the game's end. On top of these, three 'face up cards' are placed. Finally, players are dealt three cards to form their initial hand. You have the option to swap cards between your hand and your face up cards to strategize better.

The player holding a 3, or the next lowest card, kicks off the game. During your turn, you must play a card (or multiple cards of the same rank) that is equal to or higher than the top card of the pickup pile. After playing, draw cards from the deck to maintain at least three cards in your hand, unless the deck is depleted or you already have three or more cards.

2's and 10's serve as wild cards; 2's reset the pile, while 10's and four of a kind, such as four 10's, clear the pile completely. If you can't play a card higher than or equal to the top card of the pile or use a wild card, you're obligated to pick up the entire pile.

Once your hand is empty and the deck is exhausted, you move on to playing your face up cards. After clearing those, you proceed with your face down cards. The first player to get rid of all their cards emerges victorious.
