The Tawakkalna Emergency App is the official digital platform introduced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to manage emergency situations and support community safety. Developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the app has been instrumental in the nation’s efforts to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
At the time of its initial release, [ttpp] aimed to streamline the process of granting movement permits during the nationwide curfew period. It enabled both public and private sector employees, as well as individuals, to request and receive electronic passes—helping to regulate mobility and reduce viral transmission across the country.
As part of the national recovery strategy during the “Return with Caution” phase, [ttpp] expanded its services to include a range of health-related features. One of the most notable additions was the introduction of a color-coded health status system that reflects each user's current medical condition. These codes are updated regularly based on verified health data and assist authorities in ensuring a safe and controlled return to normal life.
All information within the app is protected with advanced security protocols, ensuring the highest level of privacy and data integrity for all users.
