FortiToken Mobile

FortiToken Mobile is a robust One-Time Password (OTP) generator application designed for mobile devices, offering both event-based and time-based authentication in compliance with OATH standards. As part of Fortinet's comprehensive security solution, it seamlessly integrates with FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud for OTP validation, ensuring a highly secure, user-friendly, and cost-effective approach to MultiFactor Authentication.

Privacy and Control:

Your privacy and control over your device are paramount with FortiToken Mobile. The app does not have the capability to alter your phone's settings, capture images or video, record or transmit audio, or access your emails. It also cannot view your browsing history. FortiToken Mobile will only send you notifications or change settings with your explicit permission. Additionally, the app cannot perform a remote wipe of your device. The only visibility FortiToken Mobile requires is to check your OS version to ensure app compatibility. During manual token installation, you may enter sensitive information such as your email address or token seeds for FortiToken tokens, 3rd Party tokens, and Token Transfer.

While FortiToken Mobile respects your device settings, the following permissions are essential for its operations:

• Camera Access: Necessary for scanning QR codes to facilitate easy token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID: Utilized to enhance the app's security features.
• Internet Access: Required for token activation and receiving push notifications.
• "Send Feedback by Email" Functionality: Automatically populates the "Sender" field for ease of use.
• File Sharing: Allows internal sharing between applications to attach files to feedback emails.
• Wake Lock Permission: Ensures the phone stays awake during database upgrades to prevent data corruption.
