Midjiwan, the indie developer of The Battle of Polytopia, has announced a World Championship for 2025. The Polytopia World Championship is scheduled for this fall, and the studio is preparing to host the major competition—and you're invited to join.

A Huge Global Event!

The Battle of Polytopia World Championship is built around the Battle of the Tribes theme. Players can pick from any of the 12 in-game tribes, each with its own regional identity and tactical perks, just like in the game.

The journey to the finals starts with open qualifiers, which means anyone can compete and try to rise through the ranks. The winners then advance to tribe-based playoffs and elimination rounds. The ultimate aim? To finish among the top six and secure a spot at the live finals in Stockholm on December 6.

This final showdown will be held in person and streamed online for a global audience. So even if you don't qualify, you can still root for your favorite strategies and get an inside look at how the Midjiwan team runs the event.

Matches will be hosted in the Polytopia Official Space on the Challengermode esports platform. Action begins in September, with qualifiers starting on the 13th.

With a prize pool of $10,000, the Polytopia World Championship marks the largest competitive event in the game’s nine-year history. Visit the official event page for details on how to get involved.
