Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4
Careful, Sim fans—the Burglar is back.
Robin Banks, the mischievous thief fondly remembered from earlier entries in The Sims franchise, has returned to stir up some nighttime trouble in the latest update for The Sims 4. Now live across PC and console platforms, this nostalgic addition brings a dash of suspense and unpredictability to your Sims’ lives.
Known for striking under the cover of darkness, Robin typically sneaks into homes while residents are fast asleep. But don’t get too comfortable—she’s been known to attempt bold daytime heists, even when Sims are wide awake. So keep your virtual doors locked and your valuables hidden.
Thankfully, you’re not defenseless. Installing a burglar alarm is your best bet for catching Robin in the act. If she triggers the alarm, law enforcement will arrive promptly to apprehend her and recover your stolen items. Even without an alarm, quick-thinking Sims can call the police themselves—but speed is key. Or, if you prefer a more hands-on approach, take matters into your own hands with a little vigilante justice. The choice is yours.

By design, burglary events are rare, preserving the surprise factor. But if you’re craving more mayhem, simply enable the Lot Challenge: Heist Havoc to increase the likelihood of a break-in.
"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," the development team shared. "Sending a special shout out to our full team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses—she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."
While The Sims 4 turns 10 this year—and the franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary—its popularity shows no signs of slowing. In fact, the game welcomed over 15 million new players last year alone.
According to EA’s Q2 earnings report, The Sims 4 took four years to reach 20 million unique players when it was a premium title. But after going [ttpp] in 2022, it gained 31 million new players almost immediately and reached a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And despite the excitement, there are still no official plans for The Sims 5 on the horizon… Plum!
