This surprise announcement means the Dying Light spinoff arrives in just a few months, reintroducing players to Kyle Crane, who was notably absent from the 2022 sequel. In its official description, Techland bills Dying Light: The Beast as a "blend of open world and action survival horror." Set in the perilous valley of Castor Woods, the game challenges players to use every tool at their disposal to survive.

"You are Kyle Crane. After years of captivity and brutal experimentation at the hands of the Baron, you finally break free," the description explains. "Stranded between humanity and monstrosity with a mix of human and zombie DNA, you must learn to control the beast within and the turmoil it brings. Mastering this inner conflict is your only path to exacting revenge on the man who destroyed your life."

Dying Light: The Beast is a standalone story set in Techland's post-apocalyptic universe. It's available for pre-order now, offering early buyers exclusive content like the Hero of Harran bundle. This pack includes the Ultimate Survivor Outfit, Harran Combat Knife, Follower Crossbow, and additional items.
