GTA 6 Trailer 2 Breaks Rockstar Launch Records
According to Rockstar Games, the second trailer for GTA 6 has broken records as the most successful video premiere in history.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Trailer 2 amassed an unprecedented 475 million views across all platforms within its first 24 hours - surpassing major blockbuster trailers like Deadpool & Wolverine (365 million) and The Fantastic Four: First Steps (200 million). Even last year's record-breaking Superman trailer, which garnered 250 million views for DC and Warner Bros., pales in comparison to GTA 6's latest reveal.
Notably, while GTA 6's first trailer achieved 93 million YouTube views on debut (making it the platform's biggest non-music video premiere), Trailer 2 has already reached 85,276,196 views on Rockstar's official YouTube channel as of May 8.
IGN recently reported how The Pointer Sisters' Hot Together experienced a viral resurgence, with Spotify streams skyrocketing 182,000% just two hours after featuring in GTA 6's second trailer.
"Few franchises influence pop culture like Grand Theft Auto," commented Spotify's Global Head of Editorial Sulinna Ong. "Music has always been integral to the series, so witnessing both new and longtime fans embrace this iconic track is truly remarkable."
The trailer's release follows Rockstar's announcement delaying GTA 6 from Fall 2025 to May 26, 2026. Industry analysts predict it will become the highest-grossing entertainment product ever, potentially outperforming blockbuster films.
