Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Controversy Compensation Offered

Infinity Nikki has taken steps to address the issues encountered in the release of version 1.5, offering compensation to players and outlining plans to rectify the game's shortcomings. Here's a detailed look at what players can expect and what developer Infold Games is planning.

Free Diamonds as Compensation

Infold Games released version 1.5 of Infinity Nikki amid high anticipation, but the update fell short of expectations. On May 18, via a Twitter (X) post, the developer acknowledged the "unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content" and announced compensation measures.

The update introduced numerous technical issues and bugs affecting various platforms, some of which made the game unplayable. Additionally, the cost of 5-star outfits was increased from 9 or 10 pieces to 11 pieces, necessitating up to 220 pulls to complete an outfit, thus making it more costly and time-consuming for players.

A new dye system was also introduced, which players found confusing and cumbersome due to the need to unlock color palettes for each clothing item. Furthermore, the Threads of Reunion storyline was removed because the associated outfit is still under development. Infold Games stated, "Due to technical hurdles in Version 1.5, we were unable to properly refine the introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup for Threads of Reunion, which regrettably led to confusion."

In response to player feedback, Infold Games promised compensation: "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive Diamond 120 and Energy Crystal 1 every day from June 5 to June 12, totaling Diamond 960 and Energy Crystal 8." However, despite the acknowledgment and compensation, the studio has not yet detailed plans to fix the issues, prompting fans to voice their concerns about the pity change, the dye system, and other bugs.

Delayed Version 1.6

Due to the problematic release of version 1.5, Infold Games has decided to extend it to allow more time for addressing the issues. Consequently, version 1.6 is now scheduled for release on June 12, 2025, which will also impact the timing of in-game events.

The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, initially planned for May 20, will now launch with version 1.6. Infold Games stated, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." Players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals as compensation for this delay.

More Unlisted Adjustments On The Way

Infold Games is actively working on resolving the myriad issues introduced by version 1.5. "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates," the developer explained.

To improve communication with the player base, Infold Games is launching the Miraland Round Table, a new initiative allowing players to directly share their concerns and feedback. Players can participate by emailing the game’s official email account with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or using the in-game Customer Service option.
