Kingdom-style RPG Parabellum Launches on iOS, Android
- Parabellum: Siege of Legends is now available for purchase on iOS and Android.
- Engage in an all-out war against rival kings to unite a fractured continent.
- Experience the side-scrolling strategy of Kingdom, but with significantly greater depth.
One of my favorite multiplatform releases for mobile and PC is undoubtedly Kingdom. Its blend of stunning visuals, deceptively simple yet challenging strategic gameplay, and the timeless joy of building a kingdom from the ground up always makes it a pleasure to revisit. However, Parabellum: Siege of Legends excels precisely where Kingdom sometimes falls short.
Now available for purchase on iOS and Android, if you've played Kingdom, you'll find Parabellum's core concepts familiar. You assume the role of a kingdom's leader in a side-scrolling 2D world, simultaneously developing your defenses and infrastructure. You'll recruit units, repel enemy attacks, and meticulously prepare for a decisive counteroffensive.
Yet, Parabellum builds upon Kingdom's foundation in fresh and compelling ways. Notably, it places a stronger emphasis on narrative, quests, and genuine strategic planning, moving beyond Kingdom's primary directive of simply preventing monsters from breaching your defenses.

If you want peace...
In Parabellum, you command several distinct characters across three rival nations: the Highlands, the Sultanate of Basse-Terre, and the Ice Lands. Your mission is to raise armies, complete quests, and conquer these territories to fulfill a prophecy that will crown one woman as the unifying Queen.
My primary critique of Kingdom has always been its tendency to feel repetitive over time. Parabellum directly addresses this with a richer storyline, more diverse buildings and unit types, all while retaining beloved features like unique heroes with special abilities.
Of course, it's far from the only strategy game on the market. If you're eager to further test your strategic prowess, why not explore our curated list of the best strategy games for Android?
