The First Berserker: Khazan’s New Trailer Highlights Different Boss Fights
New Gameplay Trailer Showcases Umbrella-Wielding Boss
During the IGN Fan Fest on February 27, 2025, South Korean developer Neople treated fans to a gripping gameplay trailer for The First Berserker: Khazan. The trailer spotlighted Khazan battling an intriguing umbrella-wielding boss, alongside two other formidable creatures: Shactuka, a wolf-like beast, and the Specter of Bhangau, a ram-like entity armed with a hammer and spike.
The umbrella-wielding boss appears to play a significant role, possibly within the main storyline, as the trailer included a brief cutscene preceding the fight. Unfortunately, the HUD was not visible during the battle, leaving some details about this boss shrouded in mystery. In contrast, the other two bosses were clearly identified, offering fans a clearer picture of the adversaries Khazan will face.
Possible Awakened Form
A highlight of the trailer was Khazan's apparent transformation into an Awakened form. This new state showcases a dramatic shift from his usual samurai-inspired look to a fully armored figure with a striking red glow. This transformation not only enhances Khazan's aesthetic but also significantly boosts his combat capabilities, allowing him to wield various weapons and execute a range of powerful attacks.
While Khazan's standard combat options are diverse, his Awakened form seems designed to amplify his speed and attack strength. Throughout the trailer, Khazan demonstrates the game's engaging combat mechanics, including blocking enemy projectiles, parrying, and executing fast-paced combos. Despite the increased power, the impact on enemy health appears minimal, emphasizing the game's challenging Souls-like mechanics.
Although Neople has not officially confirmed details about this Awakened form, the trailer suggests it will be a key mechanic for dealing massive damage and creating complex combos with different weapons.
Interested players can now try out The First Berserker: Khazan with a free demo available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, which includes the first two missions. The full game is slated for release on March 27, 2025, on these platforms.
