The Lenovo Legion Go is a Windows-based gaming handheld powered by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU with Radeon graphics and 16GB RAM—the same configuration found in the $700 Asus ROG Ally Z1 Extreme or ROG Ally X. It also offers a larger, sharper 8.8" 2560x1600 144Hz IPS touchscreen and detachable controllers similar to the Nintendo Switch. Running on Windows 11, the Legion Go is fully compatible with popular PC gaming platforms, including Steam, Origin, Ubisoft, Epic Games, Genshin Impact, and Battle.net.

Since the article's original publication, the Asus ROG Ally X has launched, competing directly with the Legion Go for the "best gaming handheld" crown.
