Marvel Snap Launches Golden Gauntlet Championship

Second Dinner is rolling out an exciting global tournament for Marvel Snap fans: the Golden Gauntlet World Championship Series. This inclusive, community-driven event is open to players of all skill levels.

Marvel Snap's Golden Gauntlet World Championship begins August 9, 2025

No rank restrictions or collection limits apply—just register, join, and compete. The inaugural qualifier, Golden Gauntlet Open 1, launches August 9th for APAC and Western U.S. players at 5 PM PST, with slots limited to 1,024 participants.

The tournament features six Swiss rounds before narrowing to a Top 16 single-elimination bracket. Players achieving a 5-1 record or better will advance to December's Golden Gauntlet Worlds. Registration opens July 31st.

Two additional Opens follow in September and October. Golden Gauntlet Open 2 prioritizes American competitors, while Open 3 serves EU and Eastern U.S. players. Marvel Snap will announce specific dates and sign-up details via their official Discord.

Culminating in the ultimate championship

The grand finale, Golden Gauntlet Worlds, occurs November 8, 2025. Three hundred qualifiers will face off across nine Swiss rounds, with the top 16 advancing to playoffs. Top performers will earn prizes mirroring the qualifiers.

The entire series will broadcast live on Marvel Snap's Twitch and YouTube channels. This completely online, free-to-enter competition was designed with the community in mind—no fees or private invitations required. The excitement around this innovative format is palpable!
