Monster Hunter Now Tests New Monster Outbreaks Feature
In the ever-evolving world of Monster Hunter Now, Niantic is introducing an exciting new feature called Monster Outbreaks. Currently in the testing phase, this feature aims to gather player feedback before becoming a permanent addition to the game. If you're a fan of intense group hunts and want to get in on the action, here's everything you need to know about the Monster Outbreaks testing.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
The Monster Outbreaks testing event is scheduled to take place over the weekend, specifically from April 26th to April 27th. Each day, the event will run for two one-hour windows, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time. This means you'll have four opportunities to participate in this thrilling new feature.
During the event, designated outbreak points on the map will suddenly swarm with 8-star Black Diablos. The goal is for players to team up and take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak spot within the one-hour window. Note that this is a local goal, not a global one, so each outbreak point has its own target to reach.
To participate, you must have a Hunter Rank (HR) of 11 or higher. Additionally, the party feature won't be available for this event; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points will be clearly marked on the map with a special icon, and you can tap on them to view the details. Each spot will also have a sign-up roster, allowing you to coordinate with other players on when you plan to join the hunt.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
One interesting aspect of the Monster Outbreaks is the way the slay count is calculated. If you join forces with three other hunters and successfully take down one Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the goal of 100. This encourages teamwork and makes the challenge more achievable.
If your group manages to reach the 100-monster goal before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour. These outbreaks will exclusively feature Black Diablos, making for an intense and focused hunting experience.
For those who successfully complete the challenge, there are enticing rewards waiting. If your group hits the 100-monster mark, each participant will receive 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, if you use the sign-up roster, you'll have the chance to earn a special Outbreak Test I Medal.
Are you excited to take part in the Monster Outbreaks testing? Download Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store and join the hunt over the weekend. Don't miss out on this thrilling new feature and the chance to earn exclusive rewards!
