This time, Ezio Auditore himself is stepping into the world of Reverse: 1999.

Partnering with Ubisoft, this collaboration brings together two iconic franchises for what could be one of the most anticipated crossovers of the year. Focusing on beloved entries from the Assassin’s Creed series—Assassin’s Creed II and Odyssey—the event promises deep narrative integration and unique gameplay experiences.

The teaser released in January gave us a glimpse of Vertin walking through a rain-soaked street as the glowing Assassin’s Creed logo flickers in the distance. Mysterious? Definitely. Exciting? Without a doubt.

Ezio Auditore Joins the Reverse: 1999 Universe

Mark your calendars—the full crossover event is set to launch globally on Android, iOS, and PC in August 2025. While Ezio’s inclusion as a playable character has already created a buzz among fans, the collaboration offers much more than just his presence.

The event will roll out in two distinct phases, each introducing a new chapter inspired by the Assassin’s Creed universe:

• Phase I transports players to Renaissance-era Florence, immersing them in a story where Vertin and her team follow cryptic clues across 15th-century Italy.
• Phase II shifts the action to ancient Greece, drawing inspiration from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Fans of the title may even recognize familiar locations and events woven into the storyline.
