While Baldur's Gate 3 offers many well-known romance options, some fascinating encounters remain hidden. One easily missed interaction involves Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress—a fleeting romantic opportunity during the game's chaotic third act. This guide reveals her location and how to successfully pursue this unique romance.

Finding Naoise Nallinto

Visit Sharess' Caress in Act III

To encounter Naoise, you must first progress to Act III. While traveling toward Baldur's Gate, you'll cross Wyrm's Crossing, where Raphael awaits at Sharess' Caress—a brothel east of the bridge leading into the city.

If you've already visited Wyrm's Crossing, fast-travel to the South Span waypoint outside Sharess' Caress.

Locate the Nymph’s Grotto

Naoise resides in the Nymph’s Grotto on the second floor. Head upstairs past the exterior door—identified by ivy-covered walls and a green lantern. The locked door requires a DC 10 Sleight of Hand check to pick.

Pursuing Romance with Naoise

Approaching Naoise

Inside, you’ll find Naoise engaged intimately with Jara, a Flaming Fist soldier, who reacts aggressively upon interruption. A tadpole-driven telepathic exchange triggers when Jara detects your presence—she transforms into a Mind Flayer mid-conversation. Defeat her to proceed.

Once Jara falls, Naoise reveals an unusual fascination with Mind Flayers. Our dialogue choices were:

  • "Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken."
  • "Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset."

An Insight check confirms her romantic interest. Unlike typical encounters, her approach is psychological—avoid judgmental responses to preserve your chances.

Initiating the Encounter

Choosing "That creature aroused you, didn’t it?" leads to further flirtation. She implies willingness to substitute partners, prompting you with:

  • "What did you have in mind?"
  • "Close your eyes and listen."

This segment unfolds purely through mental imagery—Naoise asks you to select from several fantasies:

  • Revered
  • Contented
  • Powerful
  • Rich
  • "I think we're done here."

Selecting "Contented" triggers the romantic scene. Afterward, Naoise loses interest—she declines repeat encounters, stating rapture can only be experienced once. Notably, existing romances (like Karlach’s) remain unaffected, and Shadowheart rewards you with the "Carnal Rituals of Sharess" inspiration point.

As a parting gift, Naoise grants "Rapture," a passive boon that adds 1d6 to nearly all ability checks.
