Nintendo Switch 2's Donkey Kong Bananza: IGN's 2025 Masterpiece, Now 25% Off
Currently, the Nintendo Switch 2 has only two major first-party titles available: Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, with Kirby Air Riders launching later in November. While Mario Kart World is excellent, Donkey Kong Bananza has firmly established itself as one of the year's top games and an essential purchase for every Switch 2 owner.
Although first-party Nintendo Switch 2 games are unlikely to see discounts at domestic retailers this Black Friday, AliExpress is offering a great deal on an imported copy. Lucky Tech Store currently has it for $52.49 after applying the $12 coupon code "AEUS12". Shipping is free, and the game is dispatched from a local US warehouse, ensuring delivery within a week with no tariff concerns. Since all physical Switch 2 games are region-free, this copy will work perfectly on a US console.

Donkey Kong Bananza not only earned a perfect 10/10 score from us but is also the only game to receive a Masterpiece rating this year. While 2025 has seen limited competition in terms of Switch 2 exclusives, it has been an outstanding year for console gaming overall. Notable releases like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Death Stranding 2, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Hollow Knight: Silksong all came close to Masterpiece status but fell just short. This isn't to say Donkey Kong Bananza is inherently superior—different reviewers assessed each title—but it highlights the game's exceptional quality.
If you don't own a Switch 2 yet, now is an ideal time to buy. The console is readily available at major retailers like Amazon, with no invitation required. Nintendo has recently increased prices on Switch 2 accessories and indicated that the console itself may see a price hike soon. In our Nintendo Switch 2 review, Tom Mark accurately summarizes it as "a vital but unexciting upgrade to a console I already love."
