Sony Announces Mukti: A First-Person Exploration Game Set in an Indian Museum, Coming to PS5 and PC
Sony has announced an intriguing new game titled Mukti, developed under the Sony India Hero Project, set to release for PlayStation 5 and PC. Developed by underDOGS Studio, Mukti is a first-person story exploration game that unfolds within the setting of an Indian museum. The game tackles the serious issue of human trafficking, aiming to educate and engage players through immersive storytelling and gameplay.

underDOGS Studio is leveraging the advanced features of the PlayStation 5's DualSense controller, particularly its haptics and adaptive triggers, to enhance the gaming experience. These elements will provide subtle vibrations during quieter, puzzle-solving moments, adding a layer of realism and immersion to the gameplay.

The Steam version of Mukti will include support for achievements, family sharing, and full controller compatibility, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
In a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, Vaibhav Chavan, the founder and game director at underDOGS Studio, expressed his pride in being part of the Sony India Hero Project. "Mukti is proud to be part of the prestigious Sony India Hero Project, being selected for this program not only gave us the fuel to bring our vision to life, but also reaffirmed our belief that Indian stories belong on the world stage," Chavan stated.

Sony's Hero Project spans multiple regions, with initiatives like the China Hero Project supporting games such as Lost Soul Aside. Through these programs, Sony provides development, publishing, marketing, and promotional support to external studios, helping to bring innovative games to the PlayStation platform.
