Ponos's Battle Cats Celebrates 12 Years with a Sengoku-Era Ad Campaign

Ninja cats, fish cats, even "Gross Cat"—The Battle Cats' quirky charm has fueled its 12-year run. This mobile tower defense game, defying the industry's high turnover, is marking its anniversary with a new ad campaign set in Japan's Sengoku period.

The commercials blend the historical Sengoku era's tactical warfare with the game's signature humor and iconic cat food cans. Developed in partnership with R/GA, the "Way of the Cat" campaign promises cinematic visuals and a unique approach to showcasing the game's strategic depth. The campaign's compelling visuals left even me wanting to "be the cat, become the cat."
