Dark Phoenix Saga Launches in Marvel Contest of Champions with Jean Grey, Bastion, and New Eidolon

Kabam is rolling out exciting updates to Marvel Contest of Champions, launching the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and unveiling a new character type called Eidols. This month also marks a celebration of the game's powerful female characters, offering players a chance to influence which Champion will receive a rework in 2025.

Jean Grey and Bastion are the latest additions to The Contest, bringing their unique abilities and an engaging new storyline. You can recruit Jean Grey to your roster starting March 13th, followed by Bastion on March 27th. The Dark Phoenix Saga begins on March 3rd, featuring Jean Grey and the X-Men facing off against dangerous variants in a brand-new quest.

The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions continues to expand with the introduction of more Eidols, furthering the Founders storyline. Following the debut of Isophyne in December 2024, three more Eidols will be introduced throughout 2025, each with a distinct sourcing system. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, arrives on March 5th and will be available until June 4th.

Lumatrix, designed by The Founders, serves as a master infiltrator with capabilities for spying, sabotage, and assassination with unmatched precision. Crafted from ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix possesses exceptional light manipulation abilities. Despite its dazzling appearance, it is a formidable weapon, designed to eliminate enemies while remaining undetected.

To celebrate the powerful women of The Contest, Kabam has teamed up with seven female developers and content creators, each representing a different Champion. Players can participate in Solo Objectives and Realm Events throughout March to vote on which Champion will receive a rework in 2025.
