Drug Dealer Simulator Schedule I continues to captivate players, maintaining its status as one of Steam's most-played games. The game's developer, Tyler, has just released its first significant post-launch update, version 0.3.4, which is currently available for testing on the beta branch. Tyler announced via the game's Steam page that the update will remain in beta for a couple of days before its full release, and players can opt into the beta to try it out.

Tyler explained that while the beta version does not include all the features planned for the full release, it was crucial to release it promptly. "This beta doesn't quite contain 100% of the features coming in the full release," Tyler noted. "I'll be adding a few more decorative objects tomorrow [April 8]. I wanted to get this beta out ASAP so that the new wall-mounted objects and pawn shop interface can be thoroughly trialed."

Upon its launch, Schedule I became the top-selling game on Steam, outperforming major titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals after going viral on social media, Twitch, and YouTube. In the game, players start as small-time drug dealers in the gritty city of Hyland Point, with the goal of becoming a kingpin by manufacturing and distributing various drugs. Players can expand their empire through acquiring properties, businesses, and hiring employees.

Developed and published by the Australian indie developer Tyler, under the moniker TVGS, the explosive launch of Schedule I was described by Tyler as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." In a Reddit post, Tyler expressed his surprise and gratitude, stating, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
