This adaptation, helmed by Castlevania's Adi Shankar and animated by the acclaimed Studio Mir (Legend of Korra, X-Men '97), was first announced in 2018. The first season will consist of eight episodes.

While plot specifics remain shrouded in secrecy, the series appears to focus on Dante, mirroring his portrayal in the first three Devil May Cry games rather than Devil May Cry 5. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, known for voicing Nero in the game franchise.

The most recent entry in the Devil May Cry video game series, Devil May Cry 5 (2019), marked a triumphant return to form after a period of relative inactivity following DmC: Devil May Cry (2013). A critically acclaimed action title, it's highly recommended, particularly for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our complete Devil May Cry 5 review here.
