The Pokémon Company International has achieved a new Guinness World Record, setting a new standard for the longest Pokémon TCG card unboxing livestream. On November 26th, 2024, a team of popular online personalities, including Serebii's Joe Merrick, PokeGirl Ranch, and Mayplaystv, embarked on a 24-hour marathon, opening over 20,000 Pokémon cards! The event, streamed live on Twitch, celebrated the launch of the Scarlet & Violet - Surging Sparks expansion.

Peter Murphy, Senior Director of Marketing at The Pokémon Company International, expressed his excitement about the accomplishment, highlighting the collaborative effort with the content creators. Released on November 8th, 2024, Scarlet & Violet - Surging Sparks transports players to the Terarium, a key location in the Indigo Disk DLC.
