Limbus Company: Effective Strategies for Leveling Up Sinners
Quick Links
In Limbus Company, the levels of your Sinners are crucial for determining their combat effectiveness. Just like in other RPGs, you'll need to focus on leveling up your team to progress or tackle challenging content. Even the most powerful Sinner Identities won't stand a chance against enemies if they're underleveled. For newcomers, here's a concise guide on the best ways to earn XP for your characters.
With titles like Ananta and Neverness To Everness on the horizon, I find myself craving a stylish anime game that isn't gacha-based. While HoYoVerse games satisfy my gacha cravings, I yearn for a triple-A experience akin to these games but without the RNG monetization.
Combat and Grinding --------------------For new players, the primary method of earning XP is through combat. All Sinners on your team will gain XP after successfully clearing a combat encounter, whether they participated or not, though active fighters earn more XP. However, like many other free-to-play gacha games, this method is slow, and as battles get tougher, you'll need more efficient leveling strategies.
Once you reach the midpoint of Canto 2, you'll unlock Luxcavation mode, allowing you to challenge specific enemies for various rewards. While these fights provide a decent amount of XP, the real advantage comes from the consumable items you can earn, which are crucial for leveling up.
Using Consumable Items
If grinding XP manually to max out your Sinners' Identities isn't your style, you can use Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets. These consumables are designed specifically for leveling up characters and come in different rarities.
Identity Training Tickets
Identity Training Tickets provide a fixed amount of XP to an Identity, similar to level-up materials in games like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact. They're essential for reducing the XP grind, but you'll need a substantial number to fully level a single character. These tickets are available in four tiers, each offering more XP than the previous:
- Identity Training Ticket I: 50 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket II: 200 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket III: 1000 Identity XP
- Identity Training Ticket IV: 3000 Identity XP
You can primarily farm these tickets in the EXP Luxcavation stages, and they're also available through the free and paid Limbus Passes as well as periodic attendance check events.
Level Boost Tickets
Level Boost Tickets instantly elevate your Sinners' Identities to a specific level, bypassing the need for XP. These are highly valuable as they act as leveling shortcuts, but they're also much rarer. You can obtain them mainly through the Limbus Pass and occasionally from attendance check events. Unlike training tickets, they can't be farmed. Different Level Boost Tickets will raise your characters to the following levels:
- Level Boost Ticket I: Level 10
- Level Boost Ticket II: Level 20
- Level Boost Ticket III: Level 30
- Level Boost Ticket IV: Level 40
As of now, Identities can reach a maximum level of 50. To level up multiple characters efficiently, consider balancing the use of your Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets.
To use these consumables, navigate to the Sinners menu and long-press the portrait of the character you wish to level up.
