No Man\'s Sky: How to Get Solanium
No Man's Sky: Your Guide to Finding, Farming, and Crafting Solanium
Solanium, a crucial resource in No Man's Sky, is exclusive to planets with specific climates. This guide details how to acquire it through gathering, farming, and crafting.
Locating Solanium:
Solanium is found on hot, arid planets, similar to Frost Crystals' location in colder climates. Before landing, scan planets from your ship to identify those with a hot, dry climate (e.g., Arid, Incandescent, Boiling, Scorched Planets). These planets will list Solanium as a resource. Upon landing, use your Analysis Visor to locate Solar Vines – tall, glowing rock-like plants. You'll need a Haz-Mat Gauntlet to harvest them. Phosphorus, also found on these planets, is a key ingredient in Solanium crafting.
Farming Solanium:
Once you've progressed in the Farmer's Agricultural Research mission, you can cultivate Solar Vines. Use Hydroponic Trays or Bio-Domes, planting them with 50 Solanium and 50 Phosphorus. Hot planets allow direct ground planting. Each vine takes approximately 16 real-time hours to mature.
Crafting Solanium:
Several Refiner recipes create Solanium, most requiring Phosphorus (obtainable on hot planets or from traders/Galactic Trade Terminals). Here are the recipes:
- Solanium + Phosphorus (creates more Solanium)
- Phosphorus + Oxygen
- Phosphorus + Sulphurine
- Di-hydrogen + Sulphurine
Note: Most crafting methods necessitate visiting a hot planet, especially for Sulphurine. Establishing a Phosphorus farm at your base ensures a consistent Sulphurine supply.
