Nintendo's Alarm Clock EXPANDS
Nintendo's Alarmo Alarm Clock: Wider Release and Enhanced Features
Nintendo's innovative alarm clock, Alarmo, is set for a broader retail launch in March 2025, as announced via their official Twitter (X) account. Initially requiring a Nintendo Online subscription, this limitation will be removed for the expanded release, making it accessible to all. Alarmo will be available at major retailers such as Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other authorized retailers worldwide for $99.99 USD.
The initial release saw incredibly high demand, leading to sell-outs and a lottery system in Japan to manage orders. Similar high demand was reported in New York City.
Alarmo's popularity underscores the anticipation surrounding Nintendo's next console, the Switch 2, although the company has yet to officially comment on its release.
Key Features of Nintendo Alarmo:
Alarmo boasts a unique gameplay-inspired wake-up experience. Users can select from 42 scenes featuring characters and sounds from popular Nintendo franchises like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 3, with more to be added via free updates.
The alarm's gentle start features a character waking up, followed by a visitor. Users can silence the alarm with a simple hand wave or body movement, thanks to its motion sensor. Persistent snoozing results in a more insistent visitor and a louder alarm. The alarm will only stop once the user gets out of bed.
Beyond its core functionality, Alarmo offers hourly chimes, sleep sounds, and sleep pattern tracking, recording time spent in bed and movement levels. For households with pets or multiple occupants, a "Button Mode" is recommended.
The expanded release of Alarmo in March 2025 promises to make this innovative alarm clock accessible to a wider audience.
