The registration period, open from January 17th to 26th, 2025, following the Switch 2 trailer reveal, required a free Nintendo Account. Those not initially selected received emails detailing a waitlist opening on January 29th, 2025, at 4 PM ET / 3 PM CT / 1 PM PT, offering a chance for late entry.
