Official: Dungeonborne is preparing to shut down
Dungeonborne, a PvPvE action game reminiscent of Dark and Darker, is shutting down. Its developers have announced the end of support and the closure of its servers, effective May 28th. The game, which launched less than a year ago, struggled to maintain a player base due to low activity and a lack of substantial updates.
While the Steam page remains accessible via direct link, it's no longer discoverable through the platform's search function. The exact reasons for the closure haven't been publicly stated, but the extremely low player count is undoubtedly a significant factor. Concurrent player numbers dwindled to below 200 in late 2024 and recently plummeted to a mere 10-15.
The server shutdown on May 28th concludes Dungeonborne's short lifespan. Despite initial interest from fans of the genre, the game ultimately failed to reach its full potential.
