A few thousand players will be able to test new Battlefield features
EA has unveiled an exciting new tool called Battlefield Labs, which serves as an internal closed beta for upcoming games in the iconic Battlefield series. The developers have tantalized fans by sharing a brief glimpse of gameplay from the current pre-alpha version, giving us a sneak peek into what's in store.
Within Battlefield Labs, a select group of invited participants will have the opportunity to experiment with core mechanics and innovative concepts. Keep in mind, not all these elements are guaranteed to make it into the final release. To ensure confidentiality, participants will need to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before diving into the various gameplay features. The available game modes will include fan-favorites like Conquest and Breakthrough. The initial testing phases will concentrate on refining the combat mechanics and the game's signature destruction system, followed by a crucial phase dedicated to balance testing.
EA has opened pre-registration for Battlefield Labs on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series platforms. In the coming weeks, a few thousand eager players will receive invitations to join this exclusive testing group. The developers have plans to expand the program to additional regions as development progresses.
