Following the tradition of Hazelight's previous titles, purchasing Split Fiction includes a free Friend's Pass, enabling a friend to join the co-op experience at no extra cost.

Split Fiction is offered in a standard edition only; no deluxe or collector's editions are available. However, Best Buy offers a retailer-exclusive preorder bonus: a free Split Fiction keychain.
Friend's Pass Details:
Split Fiction is strictly a two-player cooperative game; single-player is not supported. Playable via split-screen couch co-op or online cross-platform co-op with a single game purchase. Your friend simply downloads the free "Split Fiction - Friend's Pass" from their preferred digital marketplace on March 6th after receiving an invite from the game owner. Note: the Friend's Pass requires a purchase of the full game by at least one player.
Game Overview:
Split Fiction follows two writers – one specializing in sci-fi, the other in fantasy – who are unexpectedly transported into their own fictional worlds. Players collaborate to overcome challenges, solving puzzles and battling enemies across science fiction and fantasy-themed levels. Expect diverse gameplay, from riding futuristic motorcycles to shape-shifting in enchanted forests. Levels also feature "side stories"—mini-games offering additional adventures.
