Ubisoft will unveil two hours of gameplay from Assassin's Creed Shadows tomorrow

Get ready for a closer look at Assassin's Creed Shadows! A livestream will showcase protagonists Naoe and Yasuke navigating quests, exploring Harima Province, and battling formidable foes. Developers will offer gameplay demonstrations and answer viewer questions, providing insight into their vision for this installment.

Set in feudal Japan, Assassin's Creed Shadows plunges players into a world of samurai conflict and political intrigue. Originally slated for a March 20, 2025 release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, the game's launch has been adjusted.

Renowned industry insider Tom Henderson sheds light on the delay, citing the need to correct historical and cultural inaccuracies and enhance overall polish. While rumors of Yasuke's removal circulated, Henderson confirms he remains a key character, though his storyline will undergo revisions.

The delay stems from multiple factors, including the late integration of historical consultants and internal communication challenges. From a technical standpoint, the game requires further refinement, encompassing bug fixes and gameplay adjustments. While bug fixes are progressing smoothly, gameplay changes are expected to require more time. However, Henderson's sources suggest a Valentine's Day release on February 14th is now the target, with sufficient time allocated for completion.
