Urshifu Debuts in Pokémon GO's Final Strike: GO Battle Week with Gigantamax Machamp

The thrilling Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO is drawing to a close, culminating in the action-packed Final Strike: GO Battle Week, set to run from May 21st to May 27th, 2025. This final week promises to bring your journey with Kubfu to a satisfying conclusion, offering the chance to evolve this determined little bear into the legendary Urshifu in not one, but two distinct forms!

During the Final Strike: GO Battle Week, you can unlock either the Single Strike or Rapid Strike style for Urshifu. To achieve the Single Strike style, set Kubfu as your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon instead.

Additionally, a Special Research task will continue the ongoing Seasonal storyline. Available until June 3rd, 2025, this research will reward you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles. This event comes with a host of bonuses that will enhance your gameplay experience.

During this window, you’ll only need to travel one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles. The storage cap for Max Particles will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. Moreover, you'll earn 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain the ability to make two extra Special Trades.

Don't overlook the opportunity to collect Max Mushrooms during this period. These items temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the timer, though the power boost remains constant.
