"Atomic Heart Hits 10 Million Players, More DLC Coming"

Author : Jacob May 30,2025

Atomic Heart has surpassed 10 million players since its launch in 2023, marking a significant milestone two years later. While this figure reflects active players rather than total sales, it remains a notable accomplishment. Available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, the game's developer, Mundfish, described it as a surprise success for an emerging studio, raising the bar for visual and cinematic standards in first-person shooters. Atomic Heart garnered over 60 awards during the year and released three story-focused DLCs, with another in development.

Released in February 2023, the game is set in an alternate universe during the peak of the Soviet Union and combines elements of atompunk with immersive storytelling. In our review, we awarded it an 8, praising its imaginative concept and strong execution despite minor flaws.

Looking ahead, Mundfish is launching Mundfish Powerhouse, a service aimed at supporting developers and investors in bringing exceptional projects to fruition.
