New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all eagerly awaiting details on the Nintendo Switch 2, today's focus is on a different fan favorite. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled a gameplay presentation for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its Hawaiian pirate adventure and revealing some key features.

The showcased footage highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and a diverse range of explorable locations. Goro Majima will boast two distinct combat styles: a swift, agile approach and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing to battles, exploration, and treasure hunting. The gameplay promises hidden islands brimming with secrets and original side quests to uncover.

A significant announcement came at the presentation's close: the highly anticipated "New Game+" mode will be offered as a free post-launch update. This is a welcome change from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this feature was initially exclusive to the pricier edition, drawing criticism towards SEGA. This positive development means we only have to wait approximately six weeks until the game's official launch.
