Netflix to Launch Animated Series Based on Clash of Clans and Clash Royale Worlds
Netflix and Supercell have announced an exciting new venture that will bring the beloved Clash video game franchise to life on the small screen. The upcoming animated series, set in the vibrant worlds of Clash of Clans and Clash Royale, is already in pre-production and promises to capture the chaotic essence of the games. According to Netflix's press release, the series will follow the adventures of a determined yet overwhelmed Barbarian who leads a motley crew to protect their village while navigating the humorous and complex politics of war.
The announcement was celebrated across the official Clash of Clans social media platforms with a playful teaser video. The video featured the game's developers in a group FaceTime call, excitedly sharing the news: “Sound the horns, raise the banners, and reinforce your village walls—Clash is invading @Netflix! We’re making a new animated series starring your favorite mustachioed Barbarian and his high-pitched, hog-riding friends. Charge!”

John Derderian, Netflix's VP of Animation, expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating, "Clash has been a global gaming phenomenon for over a decade – filled with humor, action, and unforgettable characters perfect for an animated series adaptation. Working with the incredible team at Supercell, Fletcher Moules and Ron Weiner, we’re bringing all the fun, chaos and spirit of the world of Clash to life in a whole new way. We can’t wait for fans - old and new - to experience the mayhem."
While the series is still in pre-production and a release date has not been announced, Netflix continues to invest in video game adaptations. Notable successes include Arcane, based on League of Legends, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, based on Cyberpunk 2077. Other adaptations in their portfolio include Resident Evil, Tekken: Bloodline, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, Dragon's Dogma, Dragon Age: Absolution, and Castlevania.
