NieR: Automata - Warped Wire Acquisition Guide
NieR: Automata features a vast array of enemies, many of which drop valuable materials for upgrading your pod and weapons. While most materials are acquired naturally during gameplay, some, like Warped Wire, require targeted farming. This guide pinpoints the most efficient location to farm Warped Wire.
Farming Warped Wire in NieR: Automata
Warped Wire is a rare drop from stacked bipedal machines. These enemies are uncommon, but a specific area offers a high concentration. Fast travel to the Desert Camp access point and proceed along the path towards the main desert. Before reaching the open desert, you'll traverse mountainous terrain, following a pipe through some ruins. This section consistently spawns multiple stacked machines.
Two small clearings near ruined buildings are ideal farming spots. All machines near these structures are the stacked variant. Warped Wire has a reasonable drop rate; expect one or two per clearing. Using a Drop Rate Up plug-in chip significantly accelerates the process.
Respawning Enemies for Faster Farming:
To maximize efficiency, utilize these respawning techniques:
- Fast Travel: Fast traveling to another location and then returning to Desert Camp instantly respawns all enemies.
- Run Away and Return: Running a significant distance away and returning will also respawn enemies, but this is less efficient due to the travel time.
Investing in drop rate increase chips is beneficial, considering the abundance of upgrade materials dropped by machines. This farming strategy is frequently applicable for various weapon upgrades. Similarly, movement speed increase chips can slightly reduce travel time between access points, proving helpful for both material farming and completing the game's race side quests.
