Power Rangers Join Fortnite in New Season Trailer

The legendary Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are making a grand entrance in Fortnite's upcoming season, as revealed in a nostalgic live-action inspired trailer.

Dubbed Shock 'N Awesome, the new season launches August 7th and transforms Fortnite's battle royale Island into a bug-infested battleground. (These creepy crawlies emerged from remnants of a massive kraken-like creature defeated by Superman during last weekend's live event – though that backstory isn't essential to enjoy the chaos.)

The action-packed trailer depicts Fortnite's heroes struggling against relentless insect hordes until the Power Rangers arrive to restore order. Just when it seems salvation is at hand, an enormous bug appears – prompting the iconic Dino Megazord to make its heroic debut.

According to the trailer description, individual Ranger skins for the Red, Black, Pink, Yellow and Blue Rangers will hit the in-game shop in mid-August. The powerful Dino Megazord itself will be featured as part of the season's new battle pass.

The battle pass appears packed with diverse content including a new Spartan armor set from Halo, a cybernetic-armed heroine, and – in true Fortnite fashion – an eyepatch-wearing anthropomorphic panda.

This revelation follows Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney's recent dismissal of reports suggesting delays in the company's highly anticipated Disney collaboration.
