PUBG Mobile Returns to Riyadh for EWC 2025
While you're cruising through Erangel in your Shelby, an electrifying competition is gearing up in Riyadh. PUBG Mobile is set to make a thrilling return at the Esports World Cup 2025, happening from July 25th to August 3rd. This event will see 24 of the planet's elite teams vying for supremacy and a slice of the $3 million prize pool.
Following their record-breaking performance in 2024, all eyes are on Alpha7 Esports as they aim to defend their title. The tournament kicks off with the Group Stage from July 25th to 27th, where teams will be divided into three groups of eight, each battling for a spot in the next round.
The top eight teams from the Group Stage will advance directly to the Grand Finals, while the remaining sixteen will enter the Survival Stage. From there, another eight will earn their way into the final showdown, scheduled from August 1st to 3rd. Only one team will emerge as the champion, claiming the lion's share of the prize money.
Last year's event was dominated by Alpha7 Esports, the Brazilian squad that not only won but set new benchmarks. They secured five Chicken Dinners during the 18-match Grand Finals, earning an additional $25,000 and bringing their total earnings to over $467,000. Their journey was a testament to consistency and sheer firepower, tying with Team Liquid at 91 points in the Group Stage and securing a direct entry into the Grand Finals. Once there, they finished in the top four in nearly half of their matches, proving their dominance.
This year, the format stays the same, but the competition is expected to be fiercer than ever. To prepare for the excitement, you can download PUBG Mobile for free and sharpen your skills. For more updates and information, visit the official Facebook page.
